You are a fucking idiot. For something to qualify as a straw purchase, you need to purchase a gun through a proxy buyer. In other words, she would need to give me money, so I can buy it for her.
Giving a handgun as a gift is not illegal in most places, and it certainly isn't a violation of federal law. If you are a gun owner, I seriously suggest you understand the laws. For most gun owners, the difference between a gift and straw purchase is obvious. This is why its legal to gift children guns (different guns at different ages) so they can hunt; Obviously, those children can't purchase the gun/ammo but their parents can if they think they are mature enough.

I actually thought of this thread as an example when I was out with a friend last night. He was txting some chick and then he tells me she just sent him a picture of her with just her bra on. Now, this is no big deal in my opinion, so I'm like "Well, let me see" but he plays the whole "I don't kiss and tell" game.
I didn't even know this girl or any of her friends. So I tell him, "next time one of your friends supposedly sends you any nude or semi-nude pics and you have no intention of showing me, just don't tell me that they sent you one".
This thread is one damn perfect example of just plain lamery.
